In September 2006 the Arts Quest/Banana Factory started its first hot glass program. Michele was one of the first students to enroll.  After the first 8 week session, she contracted the “glass art bug” (which as all glass artist’s are aware of).  It has no known cure. Her zest and creativity came out of her own deep rooted longing to be an architect.

Michele has an ability to go places with her imagination without any restrictions.  Her glass art is what SHE creates other than what someone else tells her to create.  Through her own self guidance , she is driven to create outside the standards of "acceptable" art and within the limitless boundaries of her own imagination.  She is gifted with this natural creative talent.

Spending a 2 week “vacation” at Penland Art School has given her a great life experience and the foundation of all her future creative process in the medium of hot glass sculpture.

Michele is one who is not afraid of experimenting with a variety of styles and techniques, all of them with minimal instruction. She does not have an education in art, but rather education through her art.  What started as a couple of art classes, quickly turned into a glass passion bordering on obsession.   She has found her voice and direction as a glass artist coming from within her, rather than through instruction.

The mother of 3 adult children, she works in real estate sales, she is a person of hearty laughter and robust sculptural design.  Her colors are vibrant and jazzy with a splash of happiness exhibited in each piece.

She dances and sings in life like no one is watching.
